Secutec wins exclusive contract with CCB for delivery of cyber threat intelligence feeds

Datum:

Aartselaar (BE), December 27, 2024 – Secutec has once again earned the trust of the Centre for Cybersecurity Belgium (CCB) and has been selected to supply cyber threat intelligence (CTI) feeds. The €35 million contract spans four years and plays a critical role in securing both the Belgian state and organizations in key sectors against cyber threats.

In August 2024, the CCB launched a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the delivery of CTI feeds, outlining specific requirements such as feeds for Attack Surface Management, leaked credential monitoring, darknet information, third-party risks, and other essential threat intelligence. On October 29, 2024, the contract was officially awarded to Secutec.

Advancing toward NIS2 compliance
The new project kicks off on January 1, 2025, with an expansion planned for mid-2025 to include additional feeds and vendors. This expansion aligns with the requirements of the NIS2 directives and strengthens the protection of governments, critical sectors, and essential services—such as hospitals and energy providers—against cyberattacks. Through this initiative, organizations will receive automatic and proactive vulnerability alerts from the CCB. The CyTRIS-team (Cyber Threat Research and Information Sharing) produces daily threat reports and sends them to companies, enabling them to respond and anticipate effectively.

Why the CCB chose Secutec
Secutec has already proven to be a reliable partner for the CCB. Miguel De Bruycker, Director-General of the CCB, explains: “Secutec understands what CTI feeds are and how to deploy them efficiently. They offer us the flexibility to integrate new intelligence and have demonstrated exceptional negotiation skills with vendors. This strong collaboration enables the CCB to generate proactive, automated alerts and mitigate threats effectively.”

In addition to assembling a comprehensive portfolio of vendors, Secutec also provides its own solution. Sabine van Hoijweghen, Head of Sales at Secutec: “The ‘Secutec Fraud Feed’ is a specialized feed that delivers valuable information to the CCB about malicious ads, domains, and IP addresses. We are proud that this enables Secutec to contribute to the CCB’s anti-fraud initiatives and enhance the cyber resilience of Belgian organizations.”

A pioneering role in Europe
Belgium is at the forefront of cybersecurity in Europe. With a team of 35 CTI analysts within CERT, the CCB boasts the largest team of its kind in Europe. This forward-thinking approach highlights the CCB’s ambition to combat cybercrime not only locally but also internationally.
