Working towards NIS2 compliance with Secutec Services

The new NIS2 (Network & Information Systems) regulatory framework casts a much wider net than its predecessor. The category of essential industries has been expanded and an extra category was added, encompassing organizations in ‘important’ sectors.

Secutec services can play an important role for your organization towards compliancy.

NIS2 has been in effect since October 18th, 2024. All organizations, including businesses within your supply chain, will be expected to be registered with the CCB by March 2025 and fully compliant by April 2026.The largest organizations will face an audit before April 2027.

Main domains for compliancy

  • Management

Every member of management needs to have a firm grasp on their organization’s efforts concerning NIS2 requirements. They will be held responsible for calculating and dealing with cybersecurity risks.

  • Reporting to the government

Organizations have to put processes in place to ensure correct reporting to local authorities. One requirement stipulates the notification of every cyber incident within the first 24 hours.

  • Risk management

Measures need to be implemented to ensure the minimization of risks and consequences of cyber incidents. This encompasses incident response, supply chain security, network security, access control and encryption.

  • Business continuity

Organizations need to be able to guarantee operational continuity in case of a cyber incident. Including, but not limited to, systems recovery, emergency procedures and operating an incident response team.
