Secutec opens new headquarters in Aartselaar, home to one of Belgium’s largest Security Operations Centers
On 20 October 2026, Secutec officially inaugurated its new, climate-neutral headquarters on Boomsesteenweg in Aartselaar. The building houses not only the company’s international operations but also one of Belgium’s largest Security Operations Centers (SOCs).
The opening marks another milestone in Secutec’s 20-year growth journey. With over 2,500 square metres spread across four floors, the new headquarters provides workspace for approximately 150 employees. At the heart of the building is a state-of-the-art SOC, designed to resemble a high-tech command centre. Equipped with an impressive 11-metre-long LED wall, cybersecurity experts monitor cyber threats 24/7 for government organisations, financial institutions and corporate clients.
The new headquarters serves as the beating heart of Secutec’s cyber intelligence services and the nerve centre of its international operations. With the opening of an office in South Africa earlier this summer, the company now has a presence on four continents. Secutec aims to grow its revenue to €75 million over the next five years.
“Naturally, much of our work is highly confidential, but we also want to make cybersecurity as visible and accessible as possible to our customers.”
A dedicated War Room for negotiations with hackers
Another striking feature of the building is its dedicated War Room, designed for crisis management, incident response and, when necessary, ransomware negotiations with hackers. CEO Geert Baudewijns has already conducted 600 cybercrime negotiations.
In a separate Customer Experience Center, Secutec aims to make often abstract cyber threats tangible for visitors by demonstrating vulnerabilities, exposed information and digital risks. It offers a firsthand look at cybersecurity from the front lines.
“We deliberately designed our new headquarters and Customer Experience Center to be open, with large glass windows,” says CEO Geert Baudewijns. “Naturally, much of our work is highly confidential, but we also want to make cybersecurity as visible and accessible as possible to our customers.”
A spectacular grand opening
The official opening brought together 500 guests, including customers, partners, construction partners and other stakeholders. The programme featured guided tours of the new headquarters, a walking dinner and speeches by CEO Geert Baudewijns and Sophie De Wit, Mayor of Aartselaar. Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever also addressed the guests in a video message.
The official inauguration culminated in a spectacular sound and light show, with the new headquarters providing an impressive backdrop.
